  • HitchedOnFilm is a retro video camera hire service that lets you and your guests capture your wedding or event in a nostalgic, home-video style. We send you the camera, you film the memories, and we return the footage digitally.

    4. You return the camera using the prepaid return packaging

    5. We send you your digital footage (and edited film if selected)

  • Your hire period will be confirmed at booking and is designed to cover your event comfortably, including delivery before and return after. Exact timings will be provided in your confirmation email.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.

  • Yes. Delivery and return postage are included as part of our standard hire packages.

  • No. Our cameras are intentionally simple and easy to use. Instructions are provided, and they’re designed so anyone can pick them up and start filming straight away.

  • That’s part of the charm. HitchedOnFilm is about authentic, candid moments rather than perfection. We can’t guarantee specific moments will be captured, so we recommend encouraging guests to film freely throughout the day.

  • Once we receive the camera:

    • Your raw footage is securely processed

    • You’ll receive a digital download link

    • If you’ve selected an editing package, your edited film will follow within the agreed timeframe

  • You are responsible for the camera during the hire period. If it’s damaged, lost, or stolen, repair or replacement costs may apply. We recommend treating it with care and keeping it safe when not in use.

  • We do not currently offer insurance. You may wish to arrange your own short-term cover for peace of mind.

  • Yes, subject to our Cancellation Policy:

    • A 50% deposit is required and is non-refundable

    • 14 days’ notice is required for cancellation

    • Additional payments may be refunded depending on notice and availability

  • Can I change my event date?treated as a cancellation and the deposit will remain non-refundable.

  • Refunds are handled in line with our Cancellation Policy. Once equipment has been dispatched, refunds are not available except where required by law.

  • No. HitchedOnFilm is a DIY, guest-filmed experience designed to complement (not replace) professional photography or videography.

  • Editing times vary depending on the package selected. Estimated delivery times will be confirmed after we receive your returned camera.

  • You can book directly through our website. Once your deposit is paid, your date is secured and you’ll receive a confirmation email with next steps.
